The player is also able to utilize a digital rights management service in the form of Windows Media DRM.
Windows Media Player 12 is the most recent version of Windows Media Player. It was released on July 22, 2009 along with Windows 7 and has not been released for previous versions of Windows.
In Windows Media Player, some videos never play such as .flv, .avi, .mp4, .mkv and many more. But after installing this codec pack, Windows Media Player will play all these videos as well.
